Melissa Samuels, LMSW
Therapist
My Approach to Therapy
Melissa's therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, strengths-based, and client-centered. She believes that one of the most important components of successful therapy is creating a relationship where clients feel genuinely heard and respected.
Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, Melissa works with clients to understand the experiences, relationships, patterns, and circumstances that may be contributing to their current concerns. Together, they identify strengths, explore barriers, establish realistic goals, and develop practical strategies that clients can apply outside of therapy.
Melissa also recognizes the importance of family and relationships in emotional well-being. Her experience providing family-focused therapy allows her to help clients explore communication patterns, family dynamics, conflict, and other relational concerns that may affect their mental health.
Above all, Melissa believes therapy should be a collaborative process that empowers clients to recognize their potential and become active participants in creating the changes they want for themselves and their relationships.
