Deidre Drummonds, MSW Intern
MSW Intern | Supervised Therapist
Professional Introduction
Deidre Drummonds is an MSW Intern who is passionate about creating a space where clients feel heard, supported, respected, and understood. With several years of experience in social services, case management, client advocacy, crisis intervention, and care coordination, Deidre brings a compassionate and practical perspective to her work with individuals and families.
Throughout her professional career, Deidre has supported people navigating challenging life circumstances, connected individuals and families with essential resources, advocated for client needs, and helped clients work toward greater stability and improved quality of life. Her experience working with diverse populations across different stages of life has strengthened her belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
As she completes her clinical social work training under professional supervision, Deidre is committed to helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, relationship and family concerns, life transitions, and personal growth while developing the skills and confidence needed to create meaningful change.
My Approach to Therapy
Deidre believes that therapy begins with a genuine and trusting relationship. Her approach is warm, supportive, collaborative, and strengths-based. She meets clients where they are without judgment and works to understand not only the challenges they are experiencing, but also the personal, family, cultural, and environmental factors that may influence their well-being.
Deidre helps clients identify their existing strengths, better understand their thoughts and emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, and explore practical ways to manage life's challenges. Rather than approaching therapy as a one-size-fits-all process, she works collaboratively with each client to identify meaningful goals and determine what progress looks like for them.
Her goal is to create a safe therapeutic environment where clients can speak openly, gain greater self-awareness, strengthen their resilience, and feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
