LyTisha Myers, LMSW

Therapist

Professional Introduction

Lytisha Myers, LMSW, is a compassionate and experienced Licensed Master Social Worker who brings more than 18 years of experience in mental health, substance use services, crisis intervention, care coordination, and community-based behavioral health. Throughout her career, Lytisha has worked with adults, couples, and families navigating complex emotional, behavioral, relational, and life challenges.

Lytisha is passionate about helping clients feel seen, heard, and supported—particularly individuals who may have experienced marginalization, stigma, or difficulty finding mental health care that understands the full context of their lives. Her work is grounded in empathy, hope, cultural awareness, and the belief that meaningful change begins within a trusting therapeutic relationship.

She supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, substance use concerns, life stressors, low self-esteem, and challenges related to emotional well-being. Drawing from extensive experience across mental health and social service settings, Lytisha helps clients identify barriers, strengthen coping skills, develop healthier patterns, and move toward greater resilience and stability.

My Approach to Therapy

Lytisha believes therapy should be a collaborative process where clients feel safe enough to be honest about what they are experiencing without fear of judgment. She understands that seeking therapy can feel vulnerable, and she prioritizes developing a therapeutic relationship built on trust, communication, compassion, and mutual respect.

Her approach recognizes the whole person—not simply a diagnosis or presenting concern. Lytisha considers the emotional, relational, cultural, social, and environmental experiences that may influence a client's mental health and overall well-being.

Using a combination of person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based interventions, and other therapeutic approaches, Lytisha helps clients explore patterns of thinking and behavior that may be contributing to distress. Together, clients can develop practical strategies for managing difficult emotions, strengthening relationships, improving communication, and navigating life's challenges with greater confidence.

Lytisha also recognizes the importance of spirituality and meaning for clients who wish to incorporate these areas into therapy. Her goal is to meet each client where they are and develop an individualized therapeutic experience that respects their values, identities, experiences, and personal goals.
